At the firm, Roman supports the litigation and transactional practices, focusing on client interaction, document preparation and review, legal research, and case and deadline management.

Before joining Zimmer & Rens LLC, Roman worked at a boutique law firm in Chicago specializing in defamation and intellectual property, where he conducted trademark searches and legal research and drafted contracts and agreements.

He also volunteered with the Milwaukee Justice Center’s Mobile Legal Clinic, where he prepared wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives for clinic clients. On the criminal side, he focused on expungement, building a self-assessment tool that screens Wisconsin residents for expungement and pardon eligibility.

Roman finds his greatest fulfillment in building better systems for the work, using technology to make legal processes faster, clearer, and more accessible to the clients who need them.

He is an avid Chicago Cubs and college football fan, and spends most of his free time reading or walking the beach with his two dogs
